Director:

Name: Bastiana ( Tiana) Peters-Pierot

Born : 01 November 1950 The Netherlands 56 years of age

I have been married to Willem Peters for 38 years.

I have worked for 40 years as a accountant in different companies in The Netherlands

We have traveled to many countries and have seen a lot. We have seen how people dump rubbish and plastic in the natural environment there.

In 2002 we came for the first time to Bali and we loved it. We loved the people, their culture and their way of life. After coming to Bali many times, we decided to live in Bali when my husband retires.
After searching for a place to live for a long time, I came to Penenstanan Kaja.
We love the place and the people are very nice. The only thing I disliked was the dumping of rubbish and plastic into the river bank. I spoke with different people about this, and give them money to clean the river bank in 2005.
At the end of 2006 we came again to lease a Bungalow in Penenstanan Kaja, we saw that there was nothing done to clean-up the river bank, I talked again with different people about this and hoped that when we came in February 2007 for good, that the river would be clean then. In March 2007 we meet Wally, and talked with him about plastic and rubbish. He told me that he wanted to start a project with children to clean the river bank. I said to him, O.K., I want to help you, this is a good idea. So now we walk every Wednesday and Sunday with the children to clean the streets, the river bank and many other places.
We want to make a beautiful place for meditation, and for the animals in this habitat.

Personal Mission:

To teach children that they must stop dumping rubbish and plastic into the environment, explain to them why, and teach them that it will affect nature and animals when they don’t stop it.
